Is SRP a replacement for Jira, Trello or Asana?

Section titled “Is SRP a replacement for Jira, Trello or Asana?”

Yes for the day to day: projects, boards, tasks, iterations, labels, files. The difference is what sits above: initiatives with computed health, team capacity, and client portals. If your team is happy in GitLab or GitHub for engineering work, keep it there and link it.

SRP tells you what is falling behind only if every person and every commitment is in. A per-seat price gives you a reason to leave people out. So only people who sign in count, and everyone else is free. See Plans and billing.

No. Add them as members without sign-in. Assign them work, set their capacity, record their leave. They get no email. Invite them when they want their own view. See People and capacity.

What is the difference between a project and an initiative?

Section titled “What is the difference between a project and an initiative?”

A project is where a team’s work lives. It has no deadline and no health. An initiative is a promise with a date, made of pieces from any project, or from no project. If it is one project and one deadline, use an iteration. See The work model.

No. Health is computed from the work: due dates, owners, blockers, linked issues, capacity. There is nothing to update and nothing to forget. See Health.

No. The connection is read-only. SRP reads issues and merge or pull requests, and links them. It never creates, comments or closes anything. See Integrations.

Only the tasks in the scoped projects that carry the portal’s visibility label: titles, status, priority, due dates, assignees. Nothing else. See Portals.

Invites when you give someone sign-in access, and billing and plan emails to the company owner. Leave requests and approvals show as in-app notifications. Members without sign-in never receive email.

The company moves to Free. Projects, initiatives and history stay. Teammates stay as members without sign-in. Files are kept for 14 days and come back if you upgrade in that window.

Yes, on every plan. Claude signs in with your SRP account. ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and any MCP client use a personal token. See Connect an AI assistant.
